Click here to request a callbackOn 2nd December, you will officially transition to TCS for all community-based shifts. This will mark the start of your journey with us.
On the 2nd, you will receive a welcome email from TCS, which will include all the important details you need to get started smoothly. In addition to the welcome email, our dedicated Workforce Engagement team will reach out to you personally if you have requested a call back. They will take the time to provide thorough answers, offer additional guidance, and make sure you’re fully informed about the next steps. If there’s anything you’re unsure of or need assistance with, they are here to help and ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
There is no need for you to re-register with TCS, your relevant TNS registration details will be automatically transferred to us. You may just need to verify or complete some information. In the coming months, we will reach out to you to discuss your skills and experience to ensure we’re offering you shifts that you may be interested in.
As you transition to TCS, we want to ensure that you continue to have easy access to the support you need for both your hospital and community shifts. To make this transition as smooth as possible, the contact details for your relevant teams will remain the same, minimising any disruption. The key people you currently communicate with will not be changing, so you can continue to reach out as usual.
For all acute shift queries, continue to contact the TNS duty desk team on 0345 120 5305.
For all community shift queries, continue to contact the community bookings team on 0333 323 1913.
As a healthcare professional who’s always on the move, we understand the importance of managing your shifts with ease. We’ve made sure that managing both acute and community shifts with TNS and TCS is as simple and efficient as possible.
You’ll continue using the Quick Nurse app to manage your availability and book shifts with TNS, just as you always have. This includes acute shifts in a variety of settings – hospitals, care homes, nursing homes, schools, and more.
Just like TNS use QuickNurse, we have our shift viewing app – ipoint. You’ll be able to view shifts through ipoint, just as you currently do in QuickNurse, and call the same team as you usually do to book your community shifts.
Please note that Quick Nurse and iPoint are two separate apps, so be sure to keep both apps updated with your availability to avoid any scheduling conflicts. Our team will be reaching out to you to ensure we have all your availability for the coming weeks and months and contacting you directly to book shifts. If you want to contact the team to book shifts, please continue to call the team on the same number you do now: 0333 323 1913.
We understand the importance of being paid correctly and on time. To ensure your pay is processed smoothly for both TNS and TCS shifts, here’s what you need to know:
· Submitting timesheets:
o For TNS shifts, continue submitting your e-timesheets through the usual online process.
o For TCS community shifts, you’ll need to submit a paper timesheet using the Camscanner app. Your paper timesheet will be sent to you via email once you’ve transferred over to us. This process should feel familiar to you as you’ve previously used paper timesheets before the introduction of e-timesheets with TNS. We’ve also created a step-by-step video guide and FAQs to assist you through the process. [Click here for more information.] – link to your pay page compass
· Payslips:
o You will receive separate payslips for TNS and TCS shifts. Receiving multiple payments won’t affect your tax code, as all payments come from the same legal entity.
· Pay Rates:
Click here to view your TNS pay rates. https://thornbury-nursing.com/benefits/pay-rates/TCS pay rates – As you transition to TCS, your current rates will remain the same for the first 6 weeks, up until [insert date]. After this period, we will be in touch to discuss the type of shifts you’d like to work and any potential adjustments to your pay.

As you transition to TCS, maintaining your compliance remains a top priority. You will be able to maintain your compliance for staffing shifts through either TNS or TCS. However, if you choose to take on community shifts with TCS, particularly within commissioned packages of care*, there may be additional compliance requirements to meet the specific standards for these settings.
*Commissioned packages provide the opportunity to take on regular shifts with the same clients, allowing for long-term care commitments. By working closely with specific clients, you’ll have the chance to build meaningful relationships and play a key role in their ongoing care. Not only does this contribute to the continuity of care for those who need it most, but it also offers greater stability and predictability in your schedule, leading to more fulfilling professional growth.
To ensure ongoing compliance, please keep your documents and training records updated on the TNS Compliance Portal. This will streamline compliance processes and documentation sharing process with the TCS team.
Please be advised that, commencing December 2nd, community shifts will no longer count towards the TNS NMC repayment scheme. All community shifts completed before this date will still be counted.
Once you transfer to TCS, for the majority of your community-based shifts, you will not be required to wear a formal uniform, however you must ensure you dress appropriately in smart/casual clothing. There may be some instances where the client may ask you to wear a uniform. Always clarify the dress code when accepting your shift from the Community Team.
