A TCS clinical lead role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and ensuring clinical practice aligns with the organisation and national care guidelines for care delivered to individuals in their own homes.

The main responsibilities of a clinical lead nurse are to identify and manage risks associated with the care of each individual you oversee. You will need to implement necessary and safe precautions and plans to safeguard the wellbeing and safety of the individuals receiving our care services.

Another key responsibility in the clincial lead nurse role is to enforce all relevant health, safety, security and risk policies and procedures, ensuring the people we support receive exceptional ‘Outstanding’ CQC-rated care at all times.

You will be responsible for ensuring care plans, risk assessments, and protocols are in place and regularly reviewed and updated to align with the individual care requirements of each person we support.

You will train and coach the care team to ensure they provide exceptional person-centred care and support to the individuals receiving care and their families. You will effectively collaborate with the operations, recruitment, and compliance teams to safeguard the individuals we care for and our healthcare professionals, ensuring the care delivered enables the people we support to live fulfilled and rewarding lives under expert care supervision.

Resilience is an important quality our clinical lead nurses will need to demonstrate in their roles to successfully manage their own caseload of care packages.

Reactivity is a skill that is required for the role of a clinical lead nurse. You will be required to react to changes and manage them effectively to prioritise the safety of the people we care for.

The role of a clinical lead nurse is predominately a work from home nurse job with the requirement of regular visits to the homes of the people we care for. You will be required to travel to the homes of the individuals receiving our care to conduct assessments and reviews and have discussions with our healthcare professionals, the person receiving the care, and their family.

Alongside visits to family homes, we hold quarterly meetings across our offices and team days out to ensure we take the opportunity to connect, communicate, and celebrate the successes of all our teams, the achievements of the individuals we care for, and the overall business performance.

When allocating care packages to our clinical lead nurses, we aim to assign care packages as locally as possible. However, due to TCS being a national care provider you may be required to travel up to 2 hours to visit an individual at their home.
